ABOUT US
Villa Amistad was professionally designed and built by architect Ivonne Gamio. The Villa was inspired by the designs of Barragon and Legoretta to provide comfort, luxury, privacy and lifelong memories. Situated on the Caribbean side of Isla Mujeres, guests will enjoy the rolling waves of the sea and the steady flow of ocean air. The villa was designed with graded, step-down floors, providing the feeling of walking out into the ocean.
THE VILLA
​We are located in the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, a 30 mintute ferry ride from Cancun. Villa Amistad consists of two side by side villas, a 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom villa. Both have beautiful Caribbean Sea views, huge living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchens, bedrooms, bathroom, and a personal rooftop palapa seating area. Shared between the two villas is a gorgeous infinity pool that backs up to the Caribbean. Walk out the back yard gate to the Malecon, a walk way along the ocean that leads to popular downtown area restaurants, bars, and markets. Below are photos from the two villas

WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?50% of the total cost is due upon booking and the other 50% and refundable damage deposit is due 60 days before arrival.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT?Check-in: 3:00 PM Check-out: 11:00 AM

WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?Reservations cancelled more than 60 days before the arrival date will result in a refund of monies collected less 30% handling fee. Any reservation in between the nights of December 17 and January 7 requires a 90 day notice to cancel in order to obtain the refund of the advance payment less 30% handling fee. Any cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay (ex: early departure), that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the advance payment with no refund of monies paid. DO YOU HAVE A CLEANING SERVICE?Yes! At Villa Amistad we have daily maid service every day except Sunday. They will make your bed, take out the trash, and do other daily cleaning activities to make sure your stay is pleasant. We also have a pool cleaning service that comes every few days.

HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO THE FERRY?Our home is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the ferry that comes from Puerto Juarez (Cancun).

DO WE NEED TO RENT A GOLF CART?The location of Villa Amistad is so great that you do not need to rent a golf cart to get to many popular places on the island. It is a 5-15 minute walk to many local restaurants, bars, grocery stores, North Beach (Playa Norte), the ferry, etc. If you choose to rent a golf cart to explore other parts of the island on your own, we can work with you get that arranged.
